“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.”

Mr. Reginald Williamson was born in Darlington, South Carolina on October 8, 1962 the third child of the late Joseph Williamson, SR. and Bernetha Graham Williamson.  He entered into his final rest on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Prism Health Toumey Hospital, Sumter, South Carolina.

He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public School System and was a graduate of Mayo High School Class of 1980.  While at Mayo, he was a member of the Varsity Football Team.  He furthered his education in the Job Corps.

Reginald lived in Darlington, SC until his health began to change.  He was well known around the community as “Big Reg” and aka “Scarecrow”, a name he embraced not only because of his physical statue but also the size of his heart.  “Big Reg” truly had the love of family and friends.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory are:  two brothers, Joseph (Bobbie) Williamson, Jr. of Darlington, SC and Luther M. (Robin) Williamson of Houston, TX; a sister, Christy Y. Williamson of Darlington, SC; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two special friends: Andrew Bynum and Heyward Dubose.
