It is with profound sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. James Hudson of Baltimore, MD, formally of Darlington, SC. Mr. Hudson passed on Tuesday, September 24 in Baltimore, MD.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the Chapel of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. James Edward Hudson and affectionately called, “Sonny Boy” was born in Darlington May 6, 1934, a son of the late Mary Olena Berry and Perry Hudson. He entered into his final resting place on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, MD.
He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools.
James was united in holy matrimony to Nita Hudson who preceded him in death.
At an early age, he made his home in Baltimore, MD where he was gainfully employed at Baltimore Gas & Electric Company for over 30 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are: four children: Jimmy (Judy) Hudson, Sarah Jean (Donald) Alston, Cleveland Hudson and Roland (Nancy) Hudson; several grandchildren; two sisters: Annie Mae Hudson and Mary Louise Berry; special cousins: Ms. Mary Sue Hudson and Melvin Berry; adopted son, Rodney Burell (Hazel); special nephew: Gerard Mills; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Tommy Lee Hudson, Charlie Hudson and Gonza Lee Hudson.
