Mr. Christopher Lee Gregg

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Christopher Lee Gregg of Darlington.  Mr. Gregg expired on Sunday, November 3, 2019 in McLeod Hospital. 

Funeral service will be 2PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at St. Luke Pentecostal Power-House of Truth Inc, 1401 Society Hill Rd, Darlington. Burial will follow in Faith Memorial Gardens.

 “It’s sometime hard to understand why these things have to be. Our sad hearts seek the answer, but it’s not for us to see. We can only trust in God, and know that in some way. It’s all a part of His

great plan, we’ll understand someday.”

Mr. Christopher Lee Gregg was born in Darlington, South Carolina on April 14, 1991 a son of Clarise Gregg  Zimmerman and Lucius Zimmerman.  He was reared by his grandparents, Ida Mae Gregg and the late Robert Gregg, Sr.  Christopher departed this life on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC.

He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public School System graduating from Darlington High School. 

He was a member of St. Luke Pentecostal Power-House of Truth, Inc.

Those left to cherish his memory are:  his mother, Clarise (Lucius) Zimmerman of Darlington, SC; three sisters: Janell Gregg, Ida L. Gregg and Shawnell Gregg all of Darlington, SC; his maternal grandmother who reared him, Ida Mae Gregg of Darlington; a loving grandmother, Mae Frances Rogers; a great grandmother, Claretha Murphy; two uncles: Robert Lee Gregg, Jr. and Thomas Gregg; a special aunt, Janie Jackson; three nieces; three nephews; host of aunts, uncles, cousins; special friends of the family, Lucius and Henrietta Dubose.

He was preceded in death by: grandfathers: Robert Lee Gregg, Sr. and George Rogers.

Visitation for relatives and friends of the Gregg family will be held at 1409 Tiffany Drive, Darlington.
